Initiated in 1994, when David Longmire left the University of Michigan with a Degree in Robotic Technology, and started to work as an Assistant Advisor for a small consulting firm. Soon after establishing his own company in 2000, David became a trusted key expert chosen in many European Union Product Compliance projects assisting with implementation of European Technical Regulations. In this capacity he helped writing technical regulations related to CE Marking and other system and product certifications, standardization, accreditation and metrology in countries like Turkey, Morocco, Lebanon, India, United Arab Emirates & Sri Lanka Today, David is a Principle Consultant, Trainer and Auditor based in the Birmingham, UK. His organization, ECR, develops various product certification systems for small and medium sized organization that export technical products to Europe and other prime countries. His clients seek his guidance on optimizing product certification processes. This extends to regulatory issues, management systems and product liability. David’s articles have been published in over a dozen magazines and trade journals. His communicational skills have resulted in many invitations as a Guest Trainer and Principle Lecturer at events in the United States, China, Russia and most European countries |
